As per the FAQ, I believe you can achieve the same effect you're looking for by publishing a major dev log update on the project, and this will bump it up to the top of the recent games list. Or at least affect its visibility in some way. I think it was meant to help for this particular instances when a game got a new demo, or large update and could be seen by people in the recent page again. I could be wrong, though!
