I think you need to add a zip file for the installer to work on the ithc.io app
itch.io has an application that works like the Steam Client, you can install games with a button (https://itch.io/app)
when you press install on your game it doesn't install and it throws an error, that is why some people say it won't install, it needs a .zip file, not a .rar file
