Ha! Making Vimlark the ref/card girl is both a genius nod to him co-hosting the jam, but also to the oddity of Mario being the ref in the NES Punch Out.
This game looks amazing and that there are so many opponents is mind-boggling for a jam game. The idea of using "On the Edge" as the limitation to alter the rules of boxing with sumo elements was a very clever take on the requirement.
Sounds great. Looks great. It's impressive in scope, but I thought the controls felt a little off. I loved, loved Super Punch-Out!! One of my favorite games growing up. There, if you dodge and your timing is off, you're punished for it. Here, I could spam the left arrow to stay out of the hitbox area without any drawback. My punch timing also didn't seem to be consequential. But it's incredibly impressive you tackled the same Punch-Out format and produced something this awesome for a jam.
Great job and well done.
