Impressive eye to detail in art, very authentic too. Everything looks great. Player character reminds me of Klonoa, pretty cool.
The music is nice, but gets repetitive.
Nice gameplay. I really like how some enemies have patterns, and weight to them when they're hit. Another cool thing is how weapons such as the spear have special moves. Controls can feel a bit wonky, especially the dash. So far I do not understand the purpose of the dash, as it doesn't seem to add a lot to the gameplay loop. So far, at least.
The durability aspect of the game could be cool, as it theoretically forces the player into deciding whether to trade a low durability spear (longer reach) for a high durability sword (short reach), leading to interesting situations. However, it was not explored that much in the few screens I was able to play through. I can't say too much about what the rest of the game would've been like, because of the below:
I've run into a fatal bug. During a fight spears spawned infinitely, eventually hogging all of my system's resources and rendering the game unplayable.
During a second attempt at playing the game, the same fatal bug was reproduced. A shame. Congratulations to the team on the effort, however.
