In terms of controls, it looks like you are playing the webGL version on Newgrounds, which could contain some bugs as it is a port. That being said the melee seems to work okay for me on all browsers I've tried by holding down right click and then pressing E or Q. Hopefully if you decide to play again that will work and make all the difference in those tough levels. Thanks for playing!
