This ended up being the last game I played of all the entries. And I can say that Xanderjam 5 went out with a bang! This game is loaded with fun features and challenging gameplay. The art and animations are some of my favorite out of all 24 entries! The music and sound effects fit perfectly.
The game crashed on me about half way through the first time around, but had no problems in my 2nd run through. The teleportation mechanic was really well executed and added so much to the game. The variable jump seemed so subtle at first but ended up being a necessary mechanic to get comfortable with. Of course, I love the presence of check points too! I guess my only critique would be for more of the game. I think some of the puzzles and enemy interactions could be spread out and just have more of them. That's really all I can come up with is I want more of this to play!! :)
My time was 6:20. I might have stood around on a couple of occasions not realizing I was being timed lol. I will be putting together a devlog and including my favorites from the jam. This game will get another playthrough in the video, so we'll work on that finish time ;)
Seriously great job on everything. What a way for me to end the jam experience!
