EctoComp is a text-based game/fiction jam with a halloween theme. I can't recommend my entry, as it is on the "funny/weird/non scary" side, and also it is very old-school parser-y, so other games may be what you want. But a lot of really good writers have entered.T
The Petite Mort section (4 hours of coding or less) has some short games.
It ends November 20th if you want to wait to see what entries places at the top. These are likely to be the most fun to play through.
