You can finish the story very quickly if you want to. The game is mainly about replaying and seeing all the content; it's almost, if not impossible to see it all in one play-through without reloading.
I know there's more then one route, I'm referring to the main quest, and asking if there's going to be more added on after you conquer the kingdom.
