Nice concept, but I agree with others. The rate of fire compared to the rate of enemy spawns is too low so you get overwhelmed easily. 

It would have been cool to see an additional strategy layer after the missile was shot since you have control of it. E.g.

- collect orbs to power up missile before hitting enemy

- hit enemy from behind (two layer enemies) for one shot kill

The power ups are a good idea, i also agree that i need to low the difficulty.I thinked on adding a Boss that kills all enemys on die, and adding more variation to the map generator
