Is there some reason that you don't have this project on Patreon? I can't help but think you'd make more money (certainly from me) if you were set up to take monthly contributions... I can't imagine you're making but a pittance by selling copies for "Name Your Own Price." The quality the work you've already done, plus your frequent updates and readiness to communicate with your audience would put you in very good stead with projects I'm following over there. I mean, you'd likely still make a pittance -- but at least you would make it every month. And, who knows, it might turn into more than a pittance...
What a nice post to read. 😊 There are plans in motion for setting up a Patreon account after Christmas. I just wanted to hold for a couple of months and see if MoR was something people found interesting enough to follow/try out. I had literally no coding or art skills a year ago so I wasn't sure about the general reception once I published it.
Now I actually believe this game could become something. What if I would be able to sink 3-4 hours each day into this project instead of the meager 1-3 hours I currently have at my disposal? Or even more than that? What if I could hire professional writers? A Patreon/Subscribestar account with enough monthly supporters can make all that come true.
MoR will always be free to play, nothing's going to change that. But patreons would receive special benefits (like high-res pics, voting rights) and game editions with DEV tools to build their own slaves. More on this later.
Alright, I'll spend my last fifteen minutes doing some renders now. Cheers!
