Thank for the submission. Hope you had a good time with this Jam.

Unfortunately, I got stuck very early on and there was no way to reset the stage so I cannot provide much constructive feedback.

Except that: 

  • Never let the player drop onto a hazard (enemy, spikes) that they cannot see until after they start falling - it feels unfair. Be careful with this when designing levels :)
  • The intro sequence felt a bit long and unnecessary. For example, entering and leaving a building just to see "a few minutes later" text. Maybe could have cut it down by having exposition on signs or other students in the cave as you play.
  • As others have noted, I could not see the theme in this game and the pixel art was blurry due to compression.
