I wonder what was the use of the candy?
I think the point of the candy is that you should put the needs of someone who is suffering first. You knew you needed to buy a tissue for the crying guy but the chocolate was cheaper. Since the chocolate in this game is pointless, choosing it first makes you walk two more unnecessary laps to buy the tissue.
