I think that’s a lot more common for coding than for prose. In markdown, wouldn’t that only be useful for links/images?
I feel like that would be more of a hindrance than help most of the time (at least for me).
i think it's really neat because it avoids people forgetting to close off their brackets or tick marks or whatever.
