SOUP.
I'm based in the UK (GMT) and looking to join / put together a team of preferably noobish devs who want to push out their first jam or firstish project. I can work after the hours of 7pm most nights thanks to running the fams business but I'm easy to rope in for odd jobs at any time really. The way I see it, a solid crew is going to need sound, programming, graphics and design so a team of 4+ would be ace.
My offerings to the altar are:
- 3D modelling, rigging, animating, texturing assets in blender in a low poly style is wicked fun and what I studied at uni before I bailed
- 2D pixel art and sprite animation plus knowledge of creating sexy tilesets in tilesetter for 2D level design
- A verrrry beginner knowledge of gamemaker studio (but I have the expensive lifelong licenses for exporting to consoles because I'm an OG!)
- I know how to launch unity
- I have childlike creativity for great ideas that are do-able and definitely not "it's an open world survival craft, but with an elf hunter lady!"
Tasks that make my knees weak and I desperately need help with are:
- Sound of all kinds. Because making SFX with audition and a phone mic using distorted mouth sounds is no good. I will write the theme tune and sing the theme tune though if required.
- Programming. You wizards, teach me and I'll buy you coffee.
- Level design. I used to be ace at making race tracks with barrels in halo forge but thats ya wack.
You won't regret signing me up coach, I promise. I also used to run the NCL game jam meetup before I got roped back into hardcore work life so I play well with others. I do take the jam quite seriously though and don't like messing around too much. A man who likes a plan. Oh and SERIOUS brownie points if you have the same absolute chubby for Haunted PS1 games right now.
