Wow, thank you very much! Well the consistent spawning was the core idea, that you move - enemy spawns. If you stay too long on a level, there will be too many enemies, so you need to move quickly, and possibly use the skip turn as few times as you can. Difficulty ramps up by making each level bigger than the previous one (that means more time travelling -> more enemies) and I thought that worked.
