Android doesn't let you copy and paste files into the data file anymore, so you either have to use a computer or the original files app(Even apps with "Manage storage" permissions can't copy or move files to it normally)

(There are a few other ways, but those two seem the easiest, and you don't have to download anything else)

To get to the original files app go to Settings ->Storage-> Files

then open the Files app when it asks you which app to use(Not Files by Google)

Then follow the instructions on the linked post(You basically have to drag and drop instead of "copy/move to" commands)

You want the "Copying and Moving Files into the Folder" heading

Here

It worked for me, but who knows with other phones

Yes this is the way to go, it took a hell of a long time and a bit of crying but now all my dlc's show as installed.

As an addition to this you have to drag and drop each file 1 by 1, you cannot create a folder containing them all and drag that folder into the android/data/ourlife.demo.apk folder as it will not show up as downloaded (at least it didn't for me), you need to drag them all into the android/data/ourlife.demo.apk/files folder, then create a game folder and place them all in there. The game folder is also very important as only dragging them into the file folder will not have them show up as installed.
