Yeah, so plug in your PS4 or PS5 with a USB cable. Your machine should ding with a drive installation the first time you do. Install and run Joy2Key and it's easy to check if its working just by pressing the buttons on the controller. On Joy2Key, a button press will cause the corresponding input to light up yellow.  Then just use the keyboard and controller info-graphics to translate the mapping in Joy2Key. You can even do some custom mapping. It's super useful for making old emulators talk to my fight-sticks for arcade games.
