Hi, again, I am creating an episodic humour story (as a podcast in Spanish) based on the gameplay we did on Twitch last Christmas 2021. Within that frame, I would like to translate the game into Spanish and make it available to Spanish-speaking community, with some minor modifications, based on my own gameplay experience. There is one aspect, though, that I still did not get clear: the Absolute failures w/o solving the case. What is it? And how to use it? I developed two possible case uses for that, but I am quite confident they are not what you had in mind when you created it. If you unveil my ignorance, I can translate it properly. Otherwise, I will not be able to follow the spirit of your idea so loyally. :-D Regards. Antonio
First off, this is amazing! I'm glad you enjoyed the game enough to want to do this, so thank you!
So, what I mean by that is if the detective is still trying to solve the case, but has had bad rolls (all 1's on the dice), then the consequences begin to appear. Let's say, they're on the first day of the case and they've rolled three 1's. Now the media will release details about the story that the detective wouldn't want out. They're on the next day of the case, and have more bad luck (three more 1's on the dice), now the killer is aware that the detective is looking for them (you can decide what the killer does with this information in the background). If you get to eight absolute failures, and still haven't figured out who the murderer is, then the murderer comes after you. This will likely be the only instance where combat happens in the game, and you would just roll the physical skill and narrate the scenario.
Please let me know if this still doesn't make sense, or if you have any other questions.
Thanks!
