Fun idea. For a typing game, a more easily readable font would be useful. It's easy to confuse u-v, i-l, with such a stylized font.

Maybe you could use simple letters and just add an ornament around them. Like this for example, what do you think? (I simply added ornaments to the simple letters of the left)
And also you could make it so that the walls are part of a castle or medieval house, or there's a dragon or soldiers standing next to the wall, that would also create quite the medieval vibe!
