Definitely an interesting take on the theme, and a decent setup for the interactions. There's a lot of character conveyed in the dialog. Though I do feel like some of the choices are really opposite to each other, it still lead to an interesting outcome.
Especially with the endings at the end the first time. Tiny spoilers ahead but finding out the dialog options actually change the outcome really impacted how I thought about it. Also a perfect way to show it with that little fine print there when you check again. Always gotta look for the tiny text, that's where they catch ya.
I do have to say though I was a little confused in some of the interactions, for example the fact that the Kraken had a helmet, when it was instead trading a banana. It was a little bit weird cause it seems like it wants those helmets so I'm not sure why it would be holding it out towards you. Though it made a bit of sense once I saw what it actually wanted in trade at least.
Overall this game established a pretty interesting atmosphere and the setting was a nice little slice of a viking town. Like Is aid, awesome characterization and some really good feedback mechanics wise that helped with keeping track of what was going on. Outside of some dialog issues at least.
