Using the bassoon as the bass instrument gives this a unique feel to it that makes the first half feel more natural-sounding. Your transition to the second half is very smooth. The second half has a distinct Pikmin sound to it with the timpani, marimba, and other percussion sounds that sound like great adventure music with an element of danger.
