Rei was curled up in a ball in the back of his cage, hiding his face between his knees. He was too tired to cry anymore, too tired to fight, he just wanted to go home, it wasn't fair-he hiccuped softly and sniffled, tightly wrapping his tail around himself as new tears started to stream down his face. He hugged himself more, claws digging into his arms more than hard enough to break the fragile, malnourished skin and draw blood yet again.

While for a moment, he felt sorrow for him. It was awful just how sadden Rei was, but unfortunately, he couldn't just flat-out ask what's wrong with Rei. It would sound not only very rude, but the hunters would see him.. well, let's just say differently, to save some time. He waved the hunters over as his eyes scanned his body, top to bottom, inch by inch. He never made eye-contact with Rei, nor the hunters, even how desperately he wanted too. He simply felt as if he was, 'unworthy', of looking into the eyes of someone like him. He spoke in a firm, but-rather gentle for someone like him, voice.

".. How much for everything for this one?.. Do they have anything you took from him-?"

"We confisticated some things from him, but nothing of importance-we can get you a collar and leash for getting him home or we can get him into a crate, whichever's easiest. This one's a runner though...you may want to get a shock collar for him  in the future."

"..."

He looked down at Rei for a moment, tapping his finger against his own leg for a moment or two, before stopping and looking back at the hunters-

"...The first two are fine, I don't need a shock collar or anything of that sort. Make sure you give him his things back, there his. So there important."

Rei just curled tighter in his ball, not talking.

"....Fine, sir."

". . .Good. Make sure the collar has a tracker to it, only want to make sure he'll be easy to find.. if he does run."

He turned his body towards Rei, crouching down slightly as he gripped onto the cage just slightly. If the hunters asked him any sorta questions, he'd probably wouldn't response. He was done with them, not needing them any longer. And simply disgusted with them.

"......"

Rei stayed quiet, just curled up in his teeny little ball at the back of his cage trembling slightly. He could hear small sniffles from him

"... Hey lil guy.. are you doing alright..?"

His mood almost changed immediatelyhe spoke in a soft, tender voice as a soft smile showed on his face. His once burning glare, now nothing but a gentle look.

"M-Mph-"

He just shook harder, ears flat against his head

"..Hey hey hey.. it's okay, I'm not here to hurt you..-!"
