This has some promise! I would have wished for more forgiving mechanics. You fall off anything if half the sprite is outside the plateau. And that makes it very easy to miss jumps. Speaking of missing jumps, I ended up at the bottom of the map, outside of the camera, and didn't die and respawn.
It was an interesting concept with scanning the environment. Didn't get passed the purple doors though, so I can't speak for the rest of the game, but I would have liked to see more of that skill and what could be done with it. Getting to the menu was awesome, having to press Z to reveal it. Very aligned with the theme!
