The game explaining its main mechanic before even showing the menu is an awesome idea, it introduces you to something that you will be constatly using later on, however, I don't think it was exploited to its full potential. Making the enemies show anyways if they are close makes the main power kind of redundant, as they will appear no matter what.
Instead of just making enemies and bushes appear, it could be exploited more if it worked like a second dimension. When you are blind, you see one path and the enemies of that path, but if you are not blind, you see other paths and enemies. This way, you can make puzzels and hidden obstacles or paths, and make the main mechanic way more interesting.
However, it is an interesting concept, I'm sure you can extract more juice out of it!
