I’m thinking of trying for a gothic family horror play set. I tried to find a set for it but couldn’t. Inspired by Fall of the House of Usher, Dark Shadows, the entire Victorian sensation novel genre. Dark secrets, metaphorical (or literal!) ghosts, inheritances (for good or ill).

Oh I love this, i think that would be a really really cool idea. That seems like a playset that could have a cool mechanic like maybe each time you take a dark colored dice you describe someway in which the house deteriorates or maybe like describe a room that is no longer available.
