Simple and fun. Unfortunately, I found a way to cheese it (I won't spoil it for others though). Have you considered using boid AI (https://people.ece.cornell.edu/land/courses/ece4760/labs/s2021/Boids/Boids.html) for the enemies? I think that would balance it out, especially if you make a type of enemies that are faster than the rest to prevent players from cheesing the game.

Maybe in the future. The code is really messy right now so I would have to change it up a bit so that i could actually read it.
