Sorry if I'm commenting her too much or sounding too judgemental. I just finished the current release Days 1-8, and while I loved what I've played so far, I do have some concerns about morality and ethics as it relates to the game and decisions.

For example, I am all for Consensual Incest, whether unrelated like in this game, or between blood relations as in other games. But I'm not a fan of cheating and abuse, in that, I don't want to be cheating on or abusing any of my girls.

So as you can see, I'm in favor of something many people might view a the worst of the two, while again the one many people might see as the lesser evil.

I hope this game allows for a greater degree of control rather than all or nothing. Like i can have incest and other niche interests that I may or may not want, but I have to be a jerk and an asshole because they're only available on the Evil path.

I know as I type this, it's likely already set in stone from a developmental standpoint, short of you putting in a lot of work, but questions of ethics and morality have been hyped over the introductory 8 Days. I for one, just don't want my hands to be tied, obviously not everything can of should be in the player/MCs control, but I hate for important things to be forced.

And on that related note, as Pregnancy is obviously being added, and thank you for that, that's one of those types things that needs to be in player control, ie cum inside/outside type options during sex.

We/MC are being told, and shown we have the chance to reinvent ourselves from who we were before and into whoever we want to be now. This, to my mind, NEEDS to allow for some degree of fluidity.

Just because any given player agrees with one thing, doesn't mean they'll agree with everything, as per my own example re incest/cheating above. And I'm positive that wouldn't be the only such example where I and others would want one thing but not others and be able to have what we want without having the pay a price of something we hate.

Consent, in games as in real life, is key.

Don't tell your player they get to chose who they are, and then force them to be someone they're not.

Please take this in the constructive sense in which it is meant, Stranded In Space has quickly become one of my favorite games and it has so much potential

I appreciate you taking the time to leave your detailed thoughts.

I know there are some people who want a greater degree of control, i.e. less of a kinetic novel with Stranded in Space.

It's not that Stranded in Space doesn't have choices; right now in the coming update there are around 5 total scenes that you can uniquely experience, depending on the choices made in the base eight days. This number will continue to grow with the next update after that.

The way I try to summarize it is: Stranded in Space is a game where you have sex with a lot of different girls. Your relationships with some of them, the ways you treat/they treat you, and what kinds of kinks you have/kinds of sex enjoyed- are all the kinds of decisions that can be made, to some extent, in the game.

But for some people this isn't enough, and that's fair. In the base game I had a few people wish they could reject Marissa, on account of how she acts towards the MC. That will never be the case, in Stranded in Space. Now, does Marissa have a few choices coming in the future? Yes. Does she have a story arc? Yes. But fully rejecting her, or having deeper control on a per-girl bases like that? That's just not possible for me, logistically. Stranded in Space is a kinetic novel, mostly because there's 20+ girls, but also because it allows for slightly better storytelling, in my opinion. Side note: in the next update you can skip sex scenes, so if you really didn't want to see a scene with Marissa, as example, you can skip it.

But I hear what you're saying. Believe me when I say I'm trying to give the player as much choice as possible, within the framework of a kinetic novel. Just based on what you wrote, I doubt there will be enough choice/control for you, but I hope you give each update a try nonetheless. Thanks again for leaving such a thorough comment.

Ah, I wasn't aware this was a kinetic novel. I assumed this was a normal visual novel. That explains the lesser amount of choice. So knowing that, that you're making something different from what I thought, your decisions make a lot more sense.

I appreciate you reading and taking to heart what I've said. I have enjoyed your game so far, so I will happily see where your story goes

Hm, it's good to find this out before getting into the game. Deciding which girls to pursue or not instead of having your avatar quasi-raped by a love interest is probably the most basic function I'd want in a game about relationships and sex.

Now, you do you, it's your game. I'm just glad I found out before getting invested, although I must say I'd prefer it to be in an upfront warning rather than by chance in a random thread I was just lucky enough to see.
