is this version the same as the steam version? based on the description its short 1k renders. i already bought a copy why i ask

Good question--I just went to Steam because I didn't know about it. So my question is on steam in general-I have several of these type of games that I play from Itch; usually the good ones like this I buy. Is steam a better way to buy-more content or newer version than available here. Or, better to become a Patreon etc. ? Any thoughts from our experts out there? Does the developer make more on Steam? Thanks-- and of course I enjoy the game.
