It seems like I can move forward sometimes but only when I mash the A and D keys and click too. I'm not sure if this is intended or something

Huh. That’s strange. I don’t know what could be causing it. In the yellow hallway, after all the dialogue is done, holding W doesnt move forward? I will have to look into it, but I’m not sure what the cause could be. Thank you for playing my game, and I’ll try to fix it soon! And did this happen every time you launched the game?

Yep, every time. I've taken a video of it. I could only get it to walk once out of the times I mashed the keys around.

Damn, that is bizarre. I really appreciate you taking a vid of it, and I apologize if I wasted any of your time. I will look into it and see what I can do. Thank you very much for this, I appreciate it.

I have released a new patch that hopefully fixes this issue. It is difficult for me to test since it seems to depend computer to computer, but outside help tells me this could do it. If it still doesn't work, please let me know. I apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for playing ^^

Yes that has fixed it!

Oh, but, I encountered another problem when playing, where, when walking up to the painting in the yellow room near the brown door, the game, for a moment showed "[][][][][" instead of something like "[E]", and then, the audio looped and my computer froze up entirely and I had to shut it down.

The odd prompt is intentional but the audio loop is not intentional and the computer freezeup is definitely not intentional. The game isn’t THAT kind of scary. I am very sorry, I do not know how that could have happened. From a purely coding perspective, there is nothing about that prompt that is especially different from any other, it operates in exactly the same way. But there were no problems when interacting with other characters? This is bizarre, haven’t heard of this bug yet, others have finished the game without it. Obviously I don’t want to risk any damage to your computer, I won’t ask you to try again.  Did the freezeup happen when the prompt showed up or when you clicked on it? If you clicked on it, was the dialogue audio just repeating? I don’t know what would trigger this, but I’ll see what I can do. I’m very sorry for this game having such an unfortunate first impression. Thank you for letting me know and I appreciate this.

Well, I noticed I could still move around when talking to alice. (I think her name was alice? the girl in that room with the painting) And I don't think I hit any other keys when the looping happened. I just walked up to it

I will do some testing over this weekend and what I can do to fix this, see if I can recreate it and so on. Thank you!

I just now uploaded a new patch that fixes this bug of moving around while talking, thank you. I was unable to recreate the freezing, and when I had other people try it out, they were unable to recreate it either, so it is difficult to test this one, but I did go back and delete any code or other things that could have been extraneous or fluff. I hope this fixes it.
