The labyrinth system is a novel idea with a terrible UI and design. The darkness gimmick just has you waddling around constantly on floors 3 and 4 and the boss on the fourth floor just.. resists everything, so you can't really beat the fight in a reasonable timeframe, so you just click run over and over, and there's no consequence or meaning in it. 

The static layout just encourages making a visible map based off where you've been instead of anything interesting if you're struggling, not that it matters too much.

All the traps also have terribly placed dialogue boxes. Options to decline later appear in the same position as accepting, so by the fifth time wandering into the unavoidable trap you can't even spam click through it.
