I've never played flappy bird. I've always avoided it. Such a simple game. Why bother?
But then you made this game. And I'm trying to play and rate as many games as possible. So, here I go.
And you know what? While not "the next thing" for games, it was actually enjoyable! I found myself wondering what else could be done with this? I'm sure it's been explored, but again I'm a flappy-phobe.
I liked that it got faster every once in a while and that there's more planning going on as you play than I thought. Can there be a split in the path so that you get some sort of bonus for choosing the trickier way? Seems difficult on a procedural generated infinite flapper.
I guess the one thing this could use most is sound. I'm sure if time had permitted you would have done that, though.
Thanks for exposing me to flappy bird. Hopefully I've learned my lesson about not being a genre-snob!
And if you've made it this far, thanks! Would you mind trying my game and letting me know what you thought? I promise to read your entire post no matter now long! Thanks!!
