So, ishida was my favorite, and what happened was really upsetting for me- though like another comment here, i wish his character was more fleshed out and we got to spend more time post- hospital scene so that it wasnt just a jarring shift. I *actually* have had my partner die and I'm still grieving/mourning that, and Ishida just being gone and hardly anyone mentioning it until the grave scene was pretty upsetting too. Even if he wasnt liked at school, nao and chiharu barely ever mention it, and they were literally having lunch together every day.
Theres definitely some improvement that can be made to the smoothness of the storyline here.
Nao sometimes gave me creepy weird vibes and id have liked that to be capitalized a little more, it would have been a good horror element to add in earlier on. Her silly nicknames were really fun and i enjoyed her character a lot
I will say though, the part with chiharu traumatized at the station was very real and felt very sudden and scary, nice job.
I wish that ishida could be saved, and there was an alternate route to take. They trained for weeks for the sports fes, and that is a classic "school event" where you can see more of all the characters in a cast, and yet it wasnt used at all, it would have been nice to see nao and the rest of the boys and how they did during sports fes. It felt very much like youd have no idea what you were getting into with the other boys of the cast after ishida, and i was like "idk who you are, why would i wanna date u especially just after ishida died T_T"
Generally speaking, the game has great art- the backgrounds dont bother me, i mean, same, tbh- and the little mini games werent too tedious. I think it has a lot more potential than its currently being utilized for. I'd love to see the game more polished and up for sale, actually. I do wish you could pick your name, but i get given the setting why its chosen for you and youre not stuck with a portrait, though you do see a rep of her in the mini games and other scenes, i find that very palatable.
The little "otome in an otome" is very funny and enjoyable and overall id still recommend anyone to play this game, it just has a lot of room to grow.
Some triggers:
Kidnapping,
Drugging (through a cloth)
Suicide (?)
PTSD episode
Murder
As far as it goes, none of this is particularly graphic or shown, but some of the sound effects are a little upsetting, and there is a CG of a young girl being kidnapped and drugged through a cloth.
