Cool, thanks for your feedback! In regards to your question, the short answer is I'm not really trying to do anything in particular to make the game stand out, I'm currently more interested in focusing on fundamentals. My previous attempts at game dev have been sorely lacking in the satisfying combat department, so I want to use this time to really hone in on that. I'm hoping to have the player controller and several of the enemy behaviors in the game done this week as the prototyping stage, which will then give me two weeks to iron out the kinks while implementing art and playtesting the level design.
