Crazy Theory: (but I think it's likely true) Torulf and Lake are having one-night stand sessions.
- Lake and Torulf are currently in a friendly relationship (first introduced when he fetches Torulf's jacket for him).
- Lake mentions that he met Torulf at one of the bars close to university (I'm not implying that something always happens at bars, but Torulf mentioned that he has a flat close to uni, and knowing he has a thing for "getting what he wants," he might have befriended Lake for those reasons. Idk might be a stretch.).
- (Torulf Route) When you told Lake you're asking Torulf for the room stay, he replies with, "Torulf? Are you that close already? Well, I'm curious about his response," or something along those lines. Idk if it's a stretch but this might be implying to Lake's current perception of Arvo being straight.
- When you came out to Lake, he mentions that he does things with other guys, but not only once.
- While you were eating with him and Jorgen, he was texting someone, which Arvo didn't think much of.
- In the middle of the night, when you woke up in Lake and Jorgen's room (Lake Route), you see him going out of the room and making sure that everyone's asleep (when he glances at you).
- (Torulf Route) When you ask to stay with him, he cancels a plan, presumably with Lake, and ends up sleeping with you instead.
- (Torulf Route) He mentions he wanted to spend the night with Lake and you at a bar in town.
- (Torulf Route) Lake mentions that he plays VR at Torulf's place a lot, implying he'd been there on several occasions.
- When you're staying with Lake and Jorgen, Lake invites Torulf into the room to plan the group bonding. He sits between you two and says he's lucky to have two cute cats between him (Implying that Lake's his type too). Lake protests and Torulf teases him about how his tail was touching Torulf's behind (or tail?) to which he blushes and shushes him.
Idk if I'm looking too much into this haha, but I'm really fixed on going through the Lake Route as my canon. I know Torulf's a no-strings-attached kind of guy, so I don't think Lake would find real happiness with him (refer to Lake's route about how Lake looks lonely and sad, as well as how Arvo perceives his body language). But that's just my opinion, so feel free to have yours too haha.
On that note, I'll give you all the love you need, Lake. So, you can stop searching for love in one-nights and come to me. 🥺🥺🥺
