Um, wow! That’s a game idea. Easy 5 stars for the theme, I didn’t see this coming.

You have a very solid gameplay loop, that said I don’t think there’s any chance the capsule bacon enjoyer will ever be fast enough for your average player’s bacon production rates. Once the jam ends, adding a second or third enemy might up the pressure, and having some kind of decoy ability to throw off the baconlover or get rid of them temporarily could spice up the game loop.

Edit: I spoke far too soon. I underestimated the capsule, he is a very hungry boi. I think I managed to find a bug where he stopped eating, which can happen in some cases where you are spawning another piece of bacon in a large line and the bacons’ (baconae? baconi?) location overlap.

Aside from that, I noticed that the camera stutters quite a bit. If memory serves correctly you can fix this by having any camera related movement take place in LateUpdate() instead of Update().

I appreciate the way your bacon clones have a snake-like formation, though giving them a bit of animation would be a nice touch. I wish the game had a little more audio, some kind of basic ambience or music; the lack thereof makes the sound effects very jarring.
