Played on a i7-8700, 16GB RAM, GTX1070Ti with a Valve Index. Observations are as follows:
- Overall framerate was smooth, with no noticeable frameskips or jitter.
- The cockpit has a great 3D feel to it, and makes you feel immersed being inside the ship. The displays, particularly with text on them, need to be a little bigger, as I basically had my eyeball right on the display to clearly read them (I did like the Unobtanium, and Adamantium fuel reference).
- For the Asteroid field, I flew so close to some asteroids that they should have been inside the cockpit.
- It was nice to flick some switches, but I would have preferred to have bigger text to read what I should be flicking than 'follow the flashing lights'. Picking up and replacing the spare 'warp cell' (?) worked great with the Valve Controllers.
- The hyperspace 'tunnel' was incredible and had a more immersive feeling than anything I've played so far.
- The X-Wing and Tie-Fighter felt like a giant tease, as they were just 3-D models to pick up and look at. What did the number above the X-Wing mean?
- Kudos for having a coffeemaker that makes coffee balls in the Cockpit.
- At the end of the level, I had no ability to fly the ship at all, which left me with a incredibly disappointed feeling as my entire experience was basically a mini-roller coaster ride in space.
