I haven't played this game just as yet because I'll need to set up some stuff on my computer first, but it really does look as though so much love and care has been invested in making it. I can't wait to start it soon <33
I JUST GOT BACK FROM PLAYING IT AND I LOVED IT!!!
It's so cozy and atmospheric, the art and music were so good, and I think it might actually be one of my favourite games now,,, I'm mainly into visual novels, so this level of interaction with the environment was really new to me, but I had such a good time with it!! To be honest,, as much as I love the individual wolves and their characters ((Aurvandil is so precious, but I feel bad that Sotr always seems so sad,,)) I might frequent this game just to enjoy the vibes of being inside there. I was also really fond of how the surroundings changed as the seasons did, and I loved being able to find tiny mushrooms growing between some of the furniture and seeing the snow and the roosters just chill by the cauldron lol. Part of why I spent so long playing the game was mainly because of how immersed I was by everything, especially since I'm really fond of plants and insects ^^;
This was a minor detail that I personally really enjoyed because bugs are underappreciated as heck and so seeing taxidermy beetles as part of the decor, along with there being cool taxidermy butterfly enclosures and having the greenhouse ((which I absolutely adored visiting, btw!!)) itself also kind of turn into a butterfly garden during the summer time was so nice!!!
I'm not sure if this part was intentional, but after playing the game for a while, one of the mousey knights would keep spawning on the floor of the greenhouse at the start of each day. I'd usually put them back on the shelf with their friend, but I'd also keep accidentally knocking stuff off of the shelves in the process T--T
Anyhow, this made for a very relaxing and awesome playing experience and I am going to cherish this game forever and ever and ever, Thank you guys for creating it :"P <33
Also, not to mention, the amount of detail that the game's packed with makes it feel so genuine and homely at times with all of the little doodles on the (mum's, I think?) herbal guide, the "Witch Sighting" warning posters having little notes scrawled across them, and even that other photo on the desk being gifted to the witch from a friend. It's also a bit sad because now I feel bad for the witch's friend that's missing them T--T I hope they get to meet each other again soon in their little universe!!
