It's made with RPG maker, which converts the text into images in the game. My apologies! This is sort of hard baked into the system, so the only thing I can think of to display the text as actual text is to perhaps extract the text from the game into directory folders in your PC... but that would defeat the purpose of playing the game, I think. The alternative would be to manually output each screen text into a new window that reads it as text - I'm not sure yet if this will work, but it will also take awhile to do if it does, given the scope and the number of screens and events available.
For now though, the original Twine game can be played / downloaded from here at the least, while I'll try to figure out a fix! I do miss the accessibility of the twine games, although the system couldn't handle anything more complicated than choice paths. :( I'm looking through possibilities and plugins and hopefully I'll find a way to work around this soon!
