It really needs some contrast between the dark character and dark background yet the sudden switches to pink is really confusing.
I enjoyed the idea, though! It's always impressive to see something in Pico-8, so massive respect for that. I liked bats the most. Walljump feels really weird, having to press like 3 keys at once for it to work, maybe the rolling mode could be a toggle?
