First: Be more specific when you ask stuff.
1. Make A Small Game with one Mechanik for a gameJam - don t Scope Creep
2. Audio is the Au and diO for your Game - it makes it feel more interessting and gives a great feedback.
3. try to set your self a goal: I want to make a Platformer, or I want to make a nice World/Dungeon, etc. Pick one thing and get gud in it
4. Try to fit your Assets - if you use thirdparty stuff try to make them look alike - recoler outlines, try comparable color scemes.
5. Fun > Quality - if your game makes a lot of fun, its doesn t bother the player if your Main Charakter is a Square or a HighDefinition Charactermodel.
6. Test your games, let other people test your game, listen to feedback although it might be bad, they can help you see problems where you as the creator think, they are obvius to everyone but aren t in real.
Happy GameMaking and Good Luck!
