I love the idea behind this.
It has a very Terria like feel to it. The animations on the character are impressively smooth for a game jam game. However you really should use a different font for that opening lore dump screen, it's border-line unreadable at the moment. Also I'm not sure how to use the abilities.
Overall it's got potential.
