Unlike rocketnine, I don't play go, I'm only vaguely familiar with it. I can see why this is actually a very interesting concept, but it's really hard to judge it for those that are not that familiar with the game. I understand that coming up with some basic AI would have been difficult, but I still feel somewhat ambivalent about it.
On one side, the current implementation just works. On the other, I feel this was one of the ideas with more potential presented in the jam, and simple AIs, smaller boards, preview of move effects or a bit more polish could have gone a long way. Anyway, I don't want to sound too negative or demanding; I was only triggered by the potential and the merit of the idea on itself. It would be really cool if you manage to make something more out of this!
