I liked this a lot! It's very sweet and fun. The art is super cute, I enjoyed meeting all the characters, and I immediately felt immersed in their world. I wanna be a potion maker too! I think this can absolutely measure up with professional visual novels once it's got that last bit of polish. I also couldn't help thinking that it would make a great novel and/or graphic novel.

Now I'm not a visual novel expert, so you'll be a better judge of this than me, but one potential issue is just the balance of time talking vs time potion making. I'm estimating there's about 1 potion puzzle per half-hour of gameplay, and if the potion-making is really fun, it might be disappointing that there isn't more of it. I'd also appreciate if there were some conversational choices.

Thank you! Gosh~ (it's funny you mention the graphic novel feel, because I do comics too. Maybe it showed through the VN? haha)

I'm planning on re-writing the game to include "study puzzles" that are offered by Morphi so that there's at least two puzzles a day the player can do (and it's a choice, so if the player doesn't like the puzzle minigame very much then they don't have to do puzzles that aren't part of the main story).  And of course there will be story choices as well. We had to hardcode everything that you see last minute so choices weren't able to be included. In the more fleshed out game there will be story choices, the puzzle minigames, and even what you see here so far will be expanded upon. Personally I think my writing in the demo is a bit rushed, so I want to add more to it and include scenes between the player and the other characters (like Jemry and Malcolm) so that the player can get to know them more. c:
