Hypnosis is effectively suggestion—it's more effective on those who believe it has an effect, and less on those who don't, to simplify things. The only plausible assumption is the hypnosis is shocker, bogus but you use said bogus hypnosis to trick yourself into thinking it does something then make the rest up as you go, taking any slight feeling as proof it somehow works. I have yet to see someone who claims they had " Orgasmic pleasure from clearing a line ". Why? because that's not how the human body works.
