No, I mean do it now to let people know your game has actually become available. Staff can use this to put your game back at the top of new releases.

Edit: oops, never actually answered your first question: a project normally counts as new from the moment it's published, so that's why.

Thanks! But I already made that devlog a few hours ago, just after I set status to Released. Should I do it again now? I'm thinking I will wait a bit before doing that. (Especially since it sounds like staff are involved. Processing delay sounds reasonable.)
