This is a fun concept, and I'm always a big fan of any procedural generation. With more polish and additional events, this could make for a really neat "virtual board game" kind of game. Maybe something like Inscryption, but controlling a ship.
I also managed to sail off the edge of the world. Feels era-appropriate. Haha
