I really liked this game. It's a good implementation of this sort of "align a cube by moving around a grid" type of puzzle. I liked the art and music a lot.
As for the final message in the game: I can very much agree with you. One thing I had to learn the hard way doing game jams over the years is that I need to be careful to keep the scope of the idea manageably small so that I don't overwork myself trying to get it done in time. The appeal of a game jam, in my opinion, is the satisfaction of completing something with no real requirements or expectations of quality.
