I accidently flung all of the pieces out of the window. Now we can't play
This is a common misconception. There are no rules against flinging the pieces out of the window. In practice, you are still playing No Rules Chess. We are all playing No Rules Chess, indefinitely.
In full-screen "ctrl + mouse scroll" to minimize size and bring the pieces back.
