I found this mostly frustrating to be honest. Regular golf games allow you to slowly work towards the goal, but here you either hit in one shot or get screwed. Therefore the best strategy simply is to camp around a hole until you roll its number. Given that the design requires every goal be reachable in one shot (unless, that is, you want your players to gamble) I don't get why most levels are bigger than the screen. All this achieves is that the goals are usually out of view with no way to move the camera. You really need to offer the player some way to control the randomness, at least a little bit. Let the players stop the dice manually, so they can try to hit the same number on purpose. Or add a number of targets that players can aim for instead of the goal, to freeze their dice one turn longer and get closer.
