Thank you! I very much agree, Just Out Of Reach is very jarring in comparison to the first two pieces. It takes a very quick dark turn. The game itself is meant to twist and muddle the mind of the player and impose a reflection of the main character's views on the world. The main character wants so badly for his father's fate to be false that he blinds himself to it, and so the game and its music maintains a feeling of hope and innocence throughout until abruptly at the very end. I imagine Easter eggs and background details throughout the game hide the truth that the MC blinds himself to, but in the end the main character has to face the truth head on and the world and false reality he's made up for his emotional security begins to fall apart (and so it is revealed to the player very clearly through the third piece).
